Wellston Main Street was established as a 501(c)(6) organization to enact long-lasting, positive change in Wellston, Ohio. Since our inception in 2016, several significant strides have been made in an effort to enact positive growth in the area.
Here are a few things Wellston Main Street does:
- Provide business coaching to current and prospective businesses
- Pursue grant funding for projects to benefit the downtown area, including the recent Paint the Town project to revitalize the exteriors of storefronts
- Coordinate the city’s annual fireworks display and festival, Celebration of Our Nation
- Put together the annual Christmas festival, Christmas Treats on Wellston Streets, which includes a Christmas Tree Shoppe silent auction of decorated holiday decor and over forty events at participating downtown merchants
- Hold downtown clean-up dates
- Provide assistance to other organizations who share the common goal of making Wellston a better place
Our Vision is to help create a unique and vital town that will embrace our history, enrich the business community, preserve our natural environment and promote quality events to instill a sense of community.
